Our first ever Ride Day took place on April 15th, 2023.
We'd spent years talking about it, months planning it and weeks doubting it would eventuate - resulting in an incredibly short advertising window to attract riders. Countless hours were put in by the team (special thanks to Grubby, the unstoppable work horse) toiling away into the dark of night building tracks, bunting, marking, riding, re-riding and more marking. Once a date was locked in, we announced it on social media and the response was strong. On the Ride Day itself, we managed a mere 56 riders from the 73 that had registered. Not too shabby a result from only 2 weeks of advertising, in amongst some other fantastic rides happening around the same time. The response after the ride really cemented our belief that we have something special to offer: "some of the best riding we've done in a long time" "It was perfect!" "awesome terrain. It was an enduro course, with the casualness of a trail ride" "Great terrain and friendly bunch of people" We believe with the support of the local community and a group effort to spread the word - this could become a phenomenal offering in Queenstown, 'The Adventure Capital of the World' . -DBTNZ
